Glavkosmos introduces additional security measures due to coronavirus
MOSCOW, March 27. – To prevent the risk of the NCOV-2019 coronavirus spread, the Pandemic Response Group has been set up at Glavkosmos JSC from March 26, said the company's CEO Dmitry Loskutov.
"The implementation of these measures is due to the priority need to protect the life and health of our employees and partners," he said. "The measures taken will not affect either the company's business continuity or the fulfilment of Glavkosmos's contractual obligations thanks to the use of an electronic document management system and modern means of communication," added Loskutov.
The Pandemic Response Group has been set up following the respective order of the State Space Corporation Roscosmos. The Group’s tasks include monitoring the health status of Glavkosmos employees and developing measures to limit the negative effect of the spread of coronavirus on the company's operational activities. Phone and e-mail hotlines have been organized for the use of the employees if they have concerns about the impact of NCOV-2019 on the company's activities.
From March 19, Glavkosmos transferred the main part of its employees to remote work while maintaining their functional duties and wages. The company's management continues working in the same mode.
Previously Glavkosmos introduced such precautions as:
- temperature control of employees before they start their work, the employees with symptoms of cold are referred for medical care;
- installation of automatic antiseptic dispensers at the entrance to the office and monitoring of their use by employees and visitors;
- lock down for all employees who have returned from abroad;
- cancellation of business trips, if there is no critical need to ensure launch campaigns under the current contracts of Glavkosmos;
- minimizing the number of personal meetings, arranging of conference calls instead.
After the epidemiological situation is back to normal, Glavkosmos will resume its usual operation mode.
