Preparations for the launch of two Aist-2T spacecraft and small rideshare satellites are being completed in Vostochny
VOSTOCHNY, December 26. – The Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle with the Fregat upper stage, carrying the Aist-2T No. 1 and No. 2 satellites as the main payload and 50 small spacecraft as the rideshare payload, has been rolled out from the assembly and testing facility on Friday. The launch vehicle has been installed at the launch pad of the Vostochny Cosmodrome. The launch is scheduled for December 28, at 16:18 Moscow time.
Glavkosmos JSC (part of Roscosmos) provides the launch services and coordinates the preparation of 48 spacecraft, including those from foreign customers, as rideshare payloads accompanying the Aist-2T No. 1 and No. 2 spacecraft.
Currently, specialists from Russian space industry enterprises are performing the final technical preparations. They are conducting pre-launch tests of the systems and units of the Soyuz-2.1b, the interaction between onboard and ground equipment is being verified.
